Deerhunter playing surprise $5 show at The Earl in Atlanta.
The show was supposed to be, Wye Oak, Lower Dens, and Callers but, I guess Wye Oak got sick and Lower Dens had been sharing back line with them for the entire tour. So with the news out and 5 hours notice, Deerhunter along with Lonnie Holley featuring Ghetto Cross (Cole from Black Lips) came in to save the day! Bradford also insisted on being billed as “Deerhunter Music Group” which he claims has been the bands official moniker since 2001. The show was absolutely incredible. I’ve seen them several times and this time was by far the best.
No pics of Lower Dens sadly, but they were also fantastic. Better live then on record… I’m going on record with that statement right here right now.
